Down with the British Queen!

June 29, 2012

When it comes to the British Queen, I don’t even know where to begin. Not that I even know why I’m talking about “her majesty” in the first place. If you ask me, the monarchy that is still so prevalent in England is emblematic of the misguided, delusional belief system that haunts so many around the globe. All the praise, worship, and love is simply a reflection of a ridiculous, juvenile thought process when it comes to government. Personally, the British Queen makes me sick. Take a look for yourself.

ImageA 2010 article from Forbes estimated the Queen’s aggregate wealth at $450 million. The Queen also has access to some of the world’s most cherished art collections and residence halls, valued at billions upon billions of dollars. And of course, aside from the purely financial aspect, words couldn’t describe the type of life this woman gets to live. The extent of extravagance that the Queen has gotten so accustomed to should make any decent, freedom supporting man or woman feel unruly in the stomach.

My question is, why does she continue to receive so much respect from America? It’s no surprise that Europeans as a whole have appeared to be quite complacent with her stature. But doesn’t America claim to be the “land of the free”? Where monarchies are looked down upon in disdain? The willingness to embrace (or at the very least celebrate) monarchy signals the moral calamity we’re facing. The fact that so many people have an interest in the marriage between Prince William and Kate Middleton is certainly sending a strong message: most people have no qualms when it comes to the immorality of granting royalty the right to unbelievable amounts of money. By stealing from the general population of course.

Unfortunately, this prevailing mentality won’t allow for the abolition of royalty in England. So as much as I’d like to throw the Queen under the bus (figuratively speaking), it’s never going to happen. But I won’t let this get to me. We’ve got our own problems. Once we deal with Obama, Biden, Reid, Pelosi, Boehner, and the rest of these crooks, I’ll get to saving the people of England. But for the time being, I’ll let them wallow in the misery that they so innocently demand, plead, and ultimately vote for.
